Time Out began with the concept of a place of clean entertainment and good quality food at low prices for students, families, and busy executives of Dhaka city.
On 3rd November, 2000 Time Out was launched by two sisters Sangita Ahmed and Samina Salman. With a lot of encouragement and help from their husbands, H.A.R Jewel and Salman Masud, the name Time Out was decided upon, depicting the concept of respite from the busy schedules of city life.
On the old premises where Pink City Shopping Mall was later built, Time Out, a small 100 square feet shop was decorated in 2 weeks with seating for just 15 people. An old cook Mansur bhai from the Mirpur Bihari Camp was found and convinced to move in to nearby Kalachandpur. It was a family venture, where the families would put in a helping hand after work hours! Our motto: fresh ingredients, good food, comfort zone at amazing value. Later in 2005 a third partner Sangeeta Khan joined and the trio is still going strong.
On November 2020 Time Out celebrated its 20th year. The core staff including Barek, Mansur Bhai, Shamim, Foysal, Shahadat, Shoikot, Lizon, and Kishore are an integral part of our 30-strong Time Out Team!
Our customers have grown up with us over the past two decades and we plan to keep growing and serving them with our very best.
